www.FriendofSobriety.com is a website solely dedicated to helping people in Washington recovery from addiction. I am trying to bring everything in one location and save paper. People in recovery can have better access valuable information and be responsible too.
The online resources are;
- Local events (such as cook outs. Pot lucks, dances, concerts, camping trip etc…),
- AA, meetings,
- AA literature (12 steps, 12 traditions and more),
- AA speaker tapes (including Dr. Bob and Bill W.),
- Live Recovery radio,
- Live chat rooms,
- Discussion boards etc...
We encourage you to help in this process by adding events you see in your home group to the events calendar. It’s easy to do! Just go to the events calendar, scroll to the bottom and click “add event”, then input the information into the right spaces and click finished!
It’s that easy.
When I built this site I knew that this would be the most used feature, and it is, but inputting all this information myself, can be daunting! Also it’s only the information that I can get my hands on, but you can help everyone by pitching in. So please I encourage you to participate in adding events. Also, please tell your friends about this site!

Resentment Prayer
Please help me show them the same tolerance, pity, and patience that I would cheerfully grant a sick friend. Help me to see that, this is a sick person. Show me how can I be helpful. Save me from being angry.
Help me to avoid retaliation or argument. I know I cannot be helpful to all people, but at least show me how to take a kindly and tolerant view of each and every one. Your will be done.
